Scribbles of the pen of the heart…
I don’t know what the title of this post exactly means, but the reason I wrote it is same as why I write at all…All these words come straight from the heart, unadulterated, without prior thought or preparation, just like a stream of water flowing down from a high mountain, a mountain made of the stone of dreams.
Where are we? Who are we? Humans? We have always assumed the “privileged” position on this planet, above all other life, reasoning that we are superior in mind…so we can do many things that other life forms cannot. Why cant the other living things on the planet come even close to our level of “advancement” or “evolution”? I think because they are the sustainers of life…they can exist in harmony with themselves and nature for all eternity and leave the planet unspoiled. But the fact that we…”supreme” beings exist, has brought forth the truth that our mother Earth is going to die…just a few thousand years of human existence are sufficient to destroy a planet that existed and sustained all life for 4600 million years. I’m not talking evolutionary science or existentialism or any other kind of philosophy…I’m just thinking about things that most people don’t usually think about because they are too entangled in the mesh of worldly things (even I am).
What can we do? Can we stop this destruction? Can we stop the wars, crime, terrorism?
Can we just stop talking about this…? If we stop talking…we’ll forget about it! If we don’t stop talking, we’ll keep on talking and never do anything…!
Oh Man!! The human nature is so weak, so vulnerable…always succumbing to temptations. There was a dialogue in the movie Hellboy 2, “The Humans were born with a hole in their hearts, never to be filled!”…..it seems so true…doesn’t it? We cant do anything, right? It will go on like this, like it always has and we but spectators of the game that destiny plays with all our lives…….WRONG!!!!!!!
